Company description:
Íontas is a visionary integrated arts and community laboratory centre that is open to all. Artswell the arts component of Iontas, aims to facilitate a programme of quality, accessible engagement with all artforms for the people of Castleblayney and its hinterland. It embraces audience as participant, collaborator, maker, doer, viewer and listener, promoting direct engagement with art and artists. It uses a wide and varied spread of art-forms and genres, active marketing, strong P.R. and persuasive pursuit of financial support to make and market programmes accessible to a large community demographic.
Objectives:
• To encourage, develop, foster and stimulate public interest in all aspects of the Arts in Castleblayney, the County of Monaghan, and in its cross border hinterland.
• To promote the making and receiving of all arts by the people of this area through the initiation of arts programmes, in whatever language, that enable and empower people to express their lives, their aspirations, their insights and their society through the arts.
• To afford people in our district the opportunity to receive the best visual and performance arts available from the world around us.
