Teach swimming and water safety with The Swim Centre in Auckland, New Zealand ... it’s a great opportunity to earn while experiencing the relaxed Kiwi lifestyle.
Hi my name is Anne I’m the owner of The Swim Centre ... “ at The Swim Centre we believe that teaching children to swim isn’t a job ... it’s a responsibility! ... as teachers we are entrusted with the responsibility of assisting our pupils to develop an essential life skill. Teaching is ‘GREAT ... because it’s equally challenging as it is satisfying.
If you understand and agree we would love to offer you an opportunity to teach in our school in Auckland ... of course we’ll expect you to be a qualified, passionate and committed teacher. You’ll be teaching in 34°c beautifully warm water with small classes of young children and parents that respect and support our approach to teaching.
Don’t be concerned ... you’ll be familiar with our approach ... it’s really a blend of the UK and New Zealand’s approach. This is because I qualified with the ASA & STA and taught in the UK before opening my school in NZ in 1978 ... and since that time the STA awards criteria has provided an excellent framework and learning path. As you can imagine, as we have been providing lessons since 1978, that close association has provided many UK teachers the opportunity to experience New Zealand.
FYI ...The Swim Centre is located on 4 acres of private property on the North Shore of Auckland. The North Shore is known as one of the most desirable areas of the Auckland as it’s a modern area surrounded by beaches with a love of sports, yet only 10 minutes to the city centre (make sure you Google the area… The Swim Centre is quite unique ... the facilities are unashamedly small as this creates a perfect child friendly learning environment. We are proud that we have achieved a reputation for being friendly and providing tuition that is professional and very personal. A great indicator is the number of pupils who are second generation i.e. these children’s parent learnt to swim at The Swim Centre ... take a look at our website www.swimcentre.co.nz .
So if you are available and are interested ... ASAP email your CV & photo to me xxxx@xxxxxxxxxx.xx.xx.
I expect you will have lots of questions so please do not hesitate to telephone or email to discuss how you can take advantage of this unique & exciting opportunity.
While this position is to join our team as soon as possible, if you planning a trip in the near future do email us as we may hold the position for that perfect someone or keep you in mind for future teaching positions
