Our client is Ireland's premier IT solutions company. Over the past 10 years, they have established themselves as leaders in design and innovation in the IT network and security and IP Telephony arena. An opportunity has now arisen for an IT Systems Engineer to join them.
If you’re a proven systems and network administrator, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and experience with a market leader.
As an IT Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering and supporting leading-edge security, networking and telephony technologies for our enterprise customer base. This will involve installing and maintaining, mainly using Cisco routers, switches and firewall solutions.
You will also work on IP telephony solutions and implement, secure, administer and maintain our client’s networks.
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- IT systems and network administration experience
- A proven track record of providing services in an enterprise or service provider environment working with routers, switches, firewalls and VPN’s, IP Telephony
As an IT Systems Engineer, you must have excellent client-facing and communication skills, both written and verbal. The ability to work on your own initiative is also key.
Although not essential, knowledge of Cisco IP telephony infrastructure would be beneficial to your application. Knowledge of Windows Server systems and Linux an advantage. A Cisco Network Professional certification, such as CCNP, CCNP Security or CCNP Voice or equivalent would also be beneficial.
Our client also offers this role as a 12 month contract.
