Our client helps businesses to understand and manage the local administration and reporting requirements in numerous territories leaving customers free to manage their business. They are now seeking a Trainee Accountant to join their team.

As a Trainee Accountant, you will work as part of a large team handling internal and client accounting. This will include the accounting for special-purpose vehicles (SPVs).

Reporting to the Accounting Department Manager, you will assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts for consolidation purposes under IFRS. You will aid in the budgeting and forecasting functions and reconciling the actual figures with what was budgeted for.

You will perform debtor/creditor analysis, maintain invoices and assist in billing and monthly bank reconciliations. Additionally, you will prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management and statutory accounts under IFRS and Irish GAAP, as well as support consolidation accounting requirements under IFRS.

Your other duties will include:

- Maintaining computerised administration of SPVs
- Maintaining contact with investment managers, trustees and banks in order to achieve objectives
- Liaising with external parties such as auditors and tax advisors
- Handling tax assessments

To be considered for this role, you must:

- Have accountancy experience gained within your studies, a commercial role or similar
- Be ACCA, CPA, ACA or CIMA part-qualified
- Possess a degree in a relevant finance or business discipline

As a Trainee Accountant, you must have superb communication skills, both written and verbal. A team player, you must also have the ability and desire to work within an international, multicultural environment. Good Microsoft Word and Excel skills are key.

Fluency in a European language, in addition to English, would be beneficial to your application.
