Currently I am working towards Chartered Membership of CIPD through the Professional Assessment of Competence route. This course is at Post Graduate Diploma level. In my experience to date, I have worked as HR Manager with HMSHost Ireland Ltd, Shannon Airport. HMSHost are a multinational company and subsidiary of Autogrill which are US based. In June of 2007 we took over the ground catering from the Airport Authority. The main areas of my position were Recruitment & Selection, Training including Induction/ Hospitality/ Food Safety Level 1 & 2 and Manual Handling, Employee Relations, Management Coaching, Payroll, HR Administration, Managing the Personnel Manager HR database, Tracking Holidays and absenteeism, Compensations and Benefits and any ad hoc projects that arose during my time with HMSHost. I am also Safety Representative trained and was responsible for the successful implementation of the Health and Safety System to each of the outlets within Shannon Airport. There were 17 Management and 120 Associates at HMSHost during high season which was reduced during the quieter winter season. I reported to the General Manager on site and also I was responsible to the Director of HMSHost Ireland Ltd, and the Director of Human Resources for Europe. I have a number of years related HR experience along with a knowledge of legal implications of the employment relationship. I also possess strong interpersonal and communications skills.
