I am confident that my combination of practical work experience and technical design experience has prepared me for making an immediate contribution to your company, I work well on my own or within a team environment, I am proficient in the use of Adobe Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Quark Express. I have a strong commercial print background with excellent knowledge of print processes. I have a strong passion for design and print and I can honestly say I live and breath for good and effective design. In my fourteen years within the trade I have been employed in various design and print houses and I have gleaned not only what makes good design but also what good design can do in relation to communicating with the intended target market. Through my experience of graphic design i come into direct contact with marketing every day of my working and personal life, the two go hand in hand, one needs the other in order to maximise their potential. I started in River Media when there was one newspaper title and continued to work within the company as it expanded and successfully grew and engineered thirteen titles across Ireland. I started as a Graphic Designer in 2006 but was later promoted to Production Manager for The Cavan Post. I was involved in the launch of 12 of the papers. I am a hard worker and aim to achieve 100% with everything I do. I have worked hard in my positions and thrive in busy and growing environments.
